WE PLUNGE TOGETHER

Every year, the PDR Thunder Bay Polar Bear Plunge raises  funds to share between Thunder Bay Special Olympics, CNIB, PRO Kids and Roots Community Food Centre. All of these community organizations do important work in our community!

SUPPORT A PLUNGER

Love the idea of the Polar Bear Plunge but there's no way you're going in the water? Donate to a plunger online! All funds raised stay in Thunder Bay and are shared between 4 great causes: Thunder Bay Special Olympics, PRO Kids Thunder Bay, CNIB Thunder Bay and Roots Community Food Centre.

Special Olympics Thunder Bay is committed to positive sports experiences for athletes so they can compete in Special Olympics events regionally, nationally and internationally!

​ProKids is a service offered through The City of Thunder Bay that places children and youth in community activities when families cannot afford the fees. PRO Kids partners with over 200 local activity providers and places kids in their programs. PRO Kids raises funds annually to cover the cost of these registrations.

​Food Centre


Roots Community Food Centre is a local charitable grassroots organization providing employment, education and outreach to young people who need it the most. Using gardens, farms and kitchens, Roots CFC strives to build and create positive and supportive environments in Thunder Bay.

​The CNIB Foundation is a non-profit organization driven to change what it is to be blind today. They deliver innovative programs and powerful advocacy that empower people impacted by blindness to live their dreams and tear down barriers to inclusion.
