REGISTRATION AND PLEDGES.
Being a part of the PDR Polar Bear Plunge is easy! Every team will have a team captain who will sign up your team. The team captain will invite other team members to sign up and now you have an online team started! Share the link with friends, family and colleagues and start raising funds. 1. Head to the event page! Start a team or join a team there. (or, if jumping alone, start your team of one! Oh Captain my captain). Note! Even if you are not fundraising online, you still need to register online! 2. Set a fundraising goal and set up your fundraising page 3. Invite other team members. They each need to register online and acknowledge the waiver there. 4. Tell all of your friends & family! Share it on Facebook #thunderbaypolarbearplunge2026, email your friends a link to your fundraising page, shout it from the rooftops!

TEAM TYPES
Plunging is Easy! There are three types of teams:

Community Team
Gather your friends, your colleagues, your book club, your curling team and come take the plunge! Jumping together is a great way to get the most out of this event (and it's pretty great to have some friends close by to get your courage up!). Registration is $100/individual and once you register you can set up your fundraising page to raise over and above that, all for three great community causes. Cool School Team This division is open to grade 7 -12 students who want to jump in as a school event. - There is no minimum amount per plunger on a school team so schools raise funds collectively and apply them to their entire team. - Students CAN start their own fundraising pages and collect pledges that way, or they can just fundraise as a school. - The prizes for Cool Schools teams are different than community team prizes. There are three categories : Most Plungers, Most Raised and Most Team Spirit. Individuals Not everyone needs someone's hand to hold! Bring your friends and family to cheer you on and take the plunge on your own! Challenge your neighbour, challenge your boss, challenge your partner! Individual registration costs $100 and this can be fundraised by starting your fundraising page after you register online. |
